Slope protection net

Apr 3, 2026 | Slope protection net-新

A side slope (or slope) is a geological body with a free lateral surface on the Earth's crust. It consists of the slope crest, slope surface, slope toe, and the slope mass to a certain depth below. It is prone to deformation or instability under gravity, hydrological, seismic, and other external forces.

Active Protection System

Slope surface reinforcement: High-strength steel wire mesh is tensioned and fixed to the slope surface with anchors and support ropes, forming a prestressed restraint that firmly locks loose rock and soil, inhibiting the loosening of dangerous rocks, soil collapse, and small landslides.

Prevent weathering and spalling: The mesh fits closely to the slope, preventing surface gravel from falling off due to rain erosion and wind erosion, slowing slope weathering and reducing the risk of rockfall.

Facilitate ecological restoration: The open grid structure does not hinder vegetation growth, enabling combined "protection + greening" effects when used with grass or shrub planting, while allowing free drainage of groundwater.

Flexible load distribution: The mesh distributes local loads evenly across the entire system, adapting to minor slope settlement or deformation and maintaining overall protection without single-point failure.

Passive Protection System

Intercept rockfalls and rolling stones: Install ring nets or intercepting nets below slopes or beside roads to form flexible barriers that catch stones falling from high places, preventing them from entering roads, buildings, or activity areas.

Buffering and energy dissipation: The system, consisting of posts, support ropes, and energy absorbers, gradually absorbs the impact energy of falling rocks, greatly reducing impact force and avoiding the problem of rigid protection being easily destroyed.

Zoned protection: Passive nets of different heights and energy levels can be flexibly installed according to rockfall trajectories and risk areas, providing targeted protection for key zones and reducing disaster losses.

Easy installation and maintenance: The modular design allows construction in safe areas at the slope toe without entering dangerous slope surfaces; damaged parts can be replaced locally without overall demolition and reconstruction.
